On October 13, CanSemi Technology Inc. (stock code: 301660, hereinafter referred to as “CanSemi”) was officially listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Li Yongxi, Chairman of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhiguang Electric”), was invited to attend the listing bell-ringing ceremony.

CanSemi is the only locally established manufacturer in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area with large-scale mass-production capabilities for 12-inch silicon photonics wafers in mainland China. Its business spans three core areas: integrated circuits, power devices, and optoelectronic integration. Its products serve a wide range of applications, including the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive electronics, industrial control, artificial intelligence (AI), and 5G. By developing an integrated model that optimizes end-market applications, design, and manufacturing, alongside differentiated process platforms, CanSemi has helped address critical gaps in South China’s integrated circuit manufacturing capabilities and has become a key driver of the development of an independent semiconductor industry in Guangdong Province.

Zhiguang Electric has made strategic investments in CanSemi through Guangzhou Yuxin Zhongcheng Equity Investment Fund and Guangzhou Jifu Xinxin Venture Capital Fund.
CanSemi is a prime example of Zhiguang Electric’s philosophy of “empowering investment.” Beyond providing capital, Zhiguang Electric supports technology-driven companies through deep resource collaboration, alignment with real-world application needs, and the joint development of an industrial ecosystem. This approach helps innovative technology companies navigate market cycles and achieve sustainable growth, while contributing to a secure and resilient domestic semiconductor supply chain.
Guided by its long-term commitment to “driving innovation through capital and advancing strategy through investment,” Zhiguang Electric focuses on core industrial technologies and the transformation of energy systems. The company is building an ecosystem in which industry and capital reinforce one another, with a focus on two key areas: strategic investment and industrial investment.

Zhiguang Electric’s investment portfolio includes companies such as China Southern Power Grid Energy, Guangzhou Energy Storage, GigaDevice Microelectronics (GigaMicro), Huizhi Microelectronics, OnMicro Electronics, and Jufeng Semiconductor. Among them, China Southern Power Grid Energy, GigaMicro, Huizhi Microelectronics, and OnMicro Electronics have already gone public. CanSemi’s successful listing marks another significant milestone in Zhiguang Electric’s efforts to help portfolio companies achieve technological breakthroughs and bring production capacity online, while promoting high-quality development of regional industrial clusters.

Looking ahead, Zhiguang Electric will continue leveraging industrial capital to empower innovation and growth. By strengthening its industrial ecosystem around energy transformation and the independent development and control of core technologies, the company will promote collaborative innovation across upstream and downstream industries and contribute to the development of China’s modern industrial system.
